The term "Double Bar" refers to the Captain’s rank in the U.S. Army. A captain leads a company-sized element, ranging from 70-120 soldiers. The Company element is unique because it has the personnel and resources to project significant influence on the battlefield while being small enough for each individual to have a deep personal connection and rapport with fellow members. This is the largest military element where members know each other’s names and view themselves as one.
