Mike Mealor, CGC

President

Mike is the founder of Double Bar Construction. As a former Officer in the U.S. Army, Mike served our country in both Iraq and Afghanistan leading Soldiers, planning, and executing missions.  This experience, combined with formal education gained from the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction drew him to a life in construction where he can learn a client’s goals, develop the plan to deliver, and then execute the plan in a way that exceeds their expectations.

Mike has more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry, serving in each position from pre-construction manager, to project superintendent, to project executive and has a deep understanding and proven record of delivering projects while exceeding client’s expectations. His experience spans, industrial, healthcare, commercial, and education on all sites from open greenfield to dense downtown locations and occupied facilities. He is a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida.

The desire to work with clients closely and manage their critical projects lead Mike to start Double Bar Construction.  He has proven himself as a trusted member of the community, serving on educational advisory committees to develop tomorrow’s industry professionals and board of directors for a regional trade organization.
